>>58799359This format is limited to multiplayer mode, I have yet to encounter 3v3 singles or bring 6 pick 4 doubles outside of it
>>58799369Smogon isn't modeled after the newer, e-sports mode only 3v3 singles and 4v4 doubles formats
It is modeled after the solo and link 6v6 battles that still make up 95% of the game, and have been here since gen 1
>>58799389>So do the games set the trainer's team to level 100?OU does not automatically raise your team to level 100. You are free to run level 67 mons if you want.
>Why is it a ?v? format, did the NPC trainers not get the memo to get 6 pokemon? Seems even the elite 4 npcs left a mon at home.Already answered before. You're allowed to bring 6 mons at most.
>How about usage tiers, did they follow those rules? They don't, but they also don't follow the VGC or BSS mon bans
The point isn't about the finer rule details, but about VGC/BSS being tiktok formats to make tournaments run faster, while OU plays more like the base game
>The in-game battles are...Singles 6v6 95% of the time, we've been here before
>Your fan format has rules, a lot of them with most being unenforcable on cartridgeWrong since the 2024 Sleep Clause rewrite
Sleep Clause mod was indeed stupid though. Impossible to emulate in-game, and should instead have been an auto-loss for the player who puts a second opponent mon to sleep (not on move selection as it could miss, opponent mon may wake up, and first sleeping mon may switch in).
No matter if PP-stalled/Encore/Metronome/missclick/whatever, as they themselves chose to bring this set to the battle.
>You don't play pokemon.No, I don't play pokemon.
I play Pokémon.
