I'm not sure if this is ragebait but removing spawn overload literally doesn't matter in terms of shiny hunting, you have WAY better odds with the shiny hunting methods in the dlc, nobody would go back to the wild zone 20 lottery even if it was available. You can literally target any pokemon you want and with a simple alpha 2 donut get that exact same pokemon alpha shiny in a matter of minutes

I bought the dlc and still have the six alphas in the middle of area 20, they go away if you catch them but that's not why I didn't go back, there's simply no reason to do that at all, why spend hours there hunting for a random shiny when you can get exactly the ones you want way faster?

There's also the fact hyperspaces are completely random and tedious to get the precise one.

I'm not super bummed by the exploit being patched but I can see where OP comes from

spend weeks/months trying to get a specific alpha shiny out of a pool of 67, have to reset/create a new spawn when you don't get the shiny you wanted, getting multiple repeated shinies of shit you don't want OR resetting a few times in a bench until you get a wild area with a pokemon in the family of the shiny alpha you want and then get it super fast and easy. there's zero reason to hunt in wild zone 20 now

You should've known this was going to happen when the Teraleak told you LZA was made with DLC in mind from the very beginning. An exploit that devalues the reason to buy the DLC (shiny hunting) is going to be fixed to make sure the DLC is valuable.

Game Freak would rather """fix""" harmless stuff that doesn't negatively affect anyone being completely tied to offline gameplay while people are able to hack in alpha legendaries and use them in ranked battles with no consequences.

I always assumed zone 20 was just throwing things at the wall and see what sticks, not to hunt something specific. If you're starting to shiny hunt from zero anything works. Besides the same exploit was usable one way or another in other zones with fixed spawns.

Of course hyperspace is FAR better, I haven't touched zone 20 since the DLC was launched (and the spawns are still there anyway, I guess I just can't recreate if I get rid of them. Probably gonna leave them as memorabilia)

Literally the only thing people have been asking for since release was better Rotom gliding control
Not a soul has ever asked to remove potion use when Pokemon perform actions. No one has ever asked to reduce the spawn abilities in Wild Zones.

You still can, plus get anything you want from the cord bot request system, or injection via trade.

This happens in every Pokemon after the first 3 months. It always becomes an "honor" preference if you want to collect your Mons honestly or not.

Actually, when I go to work I leave a macro running and come home to a random shiny alpha. I'm hoping for Garchomp or Metagross but have gotten Gengar and Altaria twice. Tyranitar was cool.
