Okay a friend of mine on an Instagram group who has posted unreleased Nintendo trailers before sent us a video for new years, because of how Instagram messages work I couldn’t save it or screen record it
It says something like “In 1996, it all began” with gameplay of Gen 1, then it shatters into Gen 2, then 3, so on and so forth through Gen 9, and then it says “30 years later… It’s time to evolve!” which shatters into a beautiful teal ocean at sunset with puffy clouds blowing. They’re super detailed and the lighting is crazy. The logos “Pokemon Wind” and “Pokemon Wave” appear on screen with a cinematic version of the original title screen song. The scene shifts to a grass cow standing in a jungle, then to a fire armadillo at the edge of a volcano, then to a water snail on a rocky coastline. Zooming out to show a massive chain of colorful islands, a monstrous cry echoes out as the text “2026” appears on screen.
It was visibly not AI, but I don’t know if any of it was in-game footage. The video was cropped vertically so I’m not sure if anything in the wider frame was missing. I don’t know how I can prove it beyond just saying that when the trailer comes out it’s gonna be this.
