You can immediately tell when Masuda was kicked, because all the ambitious and interesting things found in the betas like unique dynamic animations during battles, dynamic lighting, interactions with the overworld and several other soulful little things were suddenly scrapped.
There's no hope left for Pokemon, how can anyone be stupid enough to still pretend this series hasn't hit the shitter after gen 8? Fuck ZA was a boring slog to play even on an emulator backed up by a powerful CPU, the pop-in, the flat textures on walls, the horrible art direction, the awful grinding, it was bad.
