I thought it was neat. Can kinda suck on a first playthrough if you're not paying attention but I liked how you had to put a second of thought into whether to jump since you wouldn't be able to get back for a while

when i was 5 and played this i actually got stuck in cerulean and couldn't figure out how to progress because of this. For some reason I could never figure out that you had to go around the back through that one house. I did eventually figure it out though
