It'd be an interesting mix because, on one hand, he wouldn't be an asshole since by this point he's calmed down since the start of his journey and he only acted like an asshole when Iris acted like an asshole to him first, and on the other hand, Ash being even stupider and less competent as a trainer probably wouldn't bother Serena since she never assumed he would be some expert trainer when she found him again, since her only experience with him prior was just as a really sweet boy. So I agree, she would love BW Ash too.
