I always thought the redesigns blew GSC, FRLG and HGSS out of the water but were held back by rarely if ever being drawn as non chibi. However I won’t apologize to LGPE for being mediocre at best overall.

It is from Yellow, but since you only see it in her sprite and all of the official Misty art of her from Yellow has her wearing a yellow swimsuit instead, it wasn’t until Let’s Go where she got drawn in the shorts and tanktop.

I liked this about LGPE, It's why XY was the last great pokemon game for me despite a lot of its flaws. The chibi style of overworld characters, to me, was an Iconic staple of mainline Pokémon games.

Having normal proportioned overworld characters made the world feel smaller.
