Janine isn't a postgame only battle, since you can fight her before and after clearing Kanto storyline. Red is a postgame only battle which requires you to beat the Kanto story. The modern equivalent would be someone like Lacey or Drayton, they aren't postgame only because you can battle them before and after the ID story, meanwhile Cyrano can only be beaten *after* all that, and he too only has one team. Because he's designed to have only one super high level battle, nothing else, just like Red, retard.
