It looks like it would be grass normal and its an early line evo thats pretty forgettable so people's brains associate it with the normal type

Skiddo’s line sort of pairs with Fletchling and Bunnelby, especially in early XY, both of which are Normal types. I can see how this mistake could be made.

I still don't get why it is pure Fairy and not Fairy/Grass. Same with Florges (though I get why Flabébé and Floette being pure Fairy makes sense).
