The Stone Age, the Ice Age, and the Iron Age perfectly reflect the history of the world. Regigigas is its symbol, having traversed the ages and pulled continents together with ropes.

The ages are symbolic because Regice was canonicaly conceived during Ice Age. This is based on the assumption that this is true for all of them, as the trios are often homogeneous.

These are real Regis, but it's fair to say they weren't originally planned. This is reflected in Regigigas' design, which lacks the circles in the new Regis' colors.

This is a huge stretch to assume they represent eras. Pretty sure the typings are just because they are golems, and rock, steel and ice are hard materials that work as being molded into a golem

Regigigas is quite ancient and has already traveled the world. The Regis' purpose is to protect and guide humans. Yes, they were made with these materials, but one doesn't preclude the other. Regigigas was created during the Ice Age according to the Pokédex. It's not far-fetched to assume the other two eras
