I have never, ever felt "represented" in a pokémon game in the entire franchise, and it's ok because I'm just me, not a label, a unique individual (if only a bit shit, but I still cherish me because there's literally only one of me, with all of my defects). Of course there are "he just like me fr fr" moments here and there but that's not the same, being relatable is not the same as "representation".
When you subscribe to collectivism you're stripped off any individuality and have no choice but living off your labels. That's why when you tell trannies ywnbaw they feel denied of their entire existence, it's like murder for them.
