You can lock one theme and one effect at the same time. But yeah, it's real fucking annoying. You're better off using the feathers that were made for specific characters. They generally have a Type theme, so you don't have to use them just with those specific character.

I have almost all of them saved up. But 70HP, really? Guaranteed ones should have near top stats, not middling ones.

It’s a one and done. They used to do missions occasionally but that’s pretty much been taken over by Legendary Gauntlet which is just 3 of the Arenas. You fight each one before doing it again until you either get bored or have no more units. It’s usually every other month.

Nope. It should be next month since we just had one in December. I think there was a time or two where we had to wait 2 months so it’s not guaranteed but it’s highly likely we’ll get one next month.

Those came out years ago at this point and I’ve still not bothered. The interface is clunky as fuck on a phone so I just use the default 3 star ones.

I actually found this out last night trying to custom an Academy Gladion bandana and had to burn through like 50 yellow feathers in hopes to get something like Normal/Alola for him. Genuinely a pretty fucking awful mechanic, no wonder they do custom feathers

They are a big buff with just stats. +100 HP, +80 both Atk, some Def / Spd here and there. The bonuses are extra, but bumping up a base stat by 10-20% is very very handy everywhere.

The gameplay concept is solid enough but the mode is still too obsessed with wasting as much of your time as possible. The letter post seems to understand this is a problem but it really should have already been addressed by the Brendan event.
I am also not enjoying the idea that seasonals are being gutted specifically in favor of this.

I love the roguelike vibe of the mode and you get a lot of fun interactions they've been skimming on in main events for the side stories but holy shit they did everything they could to make the mode anti-fun
