>>58840583that's what I've been thinking since seeing it, it's just gamefreak being utterly fucking incompetent as per usual so what you've left with is a good design but a few steps extra needed to polish it.
that and the tails not being correctly coloured despite looking better because I think they originally might've had it done where it was M/F coloured (the male tail isn't majorly blue and instead just the female's white) but it seems they ended up just going for the female's full white for both tails.
