Honorable mention for Typhlosion in HeartGold Generations, which was changed to Fire/Ground and given Dry Skin and some Ground moves, the dev said it was just because it looks like a burrowing animal but Typhlosion is known as the "volcano pokémon" and lahar mudslides are a common hazard during eruptions, which Dry Skin also helps reinforce.
