Fire types need a dual type to be interesting. Otherwise all they do in-game is use Flamethrower, which gets tons of distribution already.

Why does everybody bitch about fire types but nobody cares about Electric when it is just as bad in DP? You only had Luxray, Raichu and freaking Pachirisu.
People make fun about Ronald McDonald elite 4, but Volkner is just as pathetic (which is funny considered they are both friends).

I noticed this pretty recently too doing my Sinnoh tier list. Having only Luxray (who has no moves), Raichu and Pachirisu feels almost intentionally self destructive. I don't get why people don't meme Masuda was trying to ruin the franchise because GSC-RS-FRLG-DP back-to-back feel so rough and unpolished like the idea was to get more content out REGARDLESS of quality

Electric was always been sort of a rare type. Pikachu is rare in Viridian Forest, Electabuzz is out of the way, Jolteon is a one off. But Fire types like the Charizard, Typhlosion, Arcanine, Ninetales were always ready and reliable.
