Why does gen 5 stands out it such a bad way?
like its an off shot and it doesn't really belong to the Pokémon franchise.

There's no new Evolutions. Think about it, every other Pokedex has ties to the past.
GS and RS had Baby Pokemon.
DP had a bunch of new Evolutions, plus Regigigas.
XY had Megas.
SM and SwSh had Regional Variants.
SV has Paradox Variants.

It stands out as the last memorable Gen that didn’t need to rely on shitty gimmicks to produce a quality experience

It was a sort of soft reboot. Black/White is the only game that has an entirely new dex and you don't see any mons from other regions until postgame.
