Did anyone complain about triple battles?
A complaint I see sometimes is that they were very underutilized.
I hope Champions allows more more stuff than just traditionnal 6v6 or 4v4 double battles, like triple battles or inverse battles.

Triple battles are a bad idea without some sort of passive damage reduction. The mon in the middle just gets completely gangbanged. Rotation was better.

The only complain beyond they being utilized was on the 3D change the framerate went down the shitter if certain mons were on the field. Of course rather than fix the issue of why did this happen in first place is both easier, cheaper and faster to just cut both it and rotations instead.

It returned in gen 6 as the image I used showed. YJK that they didn't include it gen 7 because they failed to or didn't want to put in the effort and then after that knew they could get away with it so they didn't feel the need. Triple Battles are not a gimmick any more than Double Battles are. Triple Battles expand upon Double Battles with the range limit, positioning and Shifting.

The Wonder Launcher, is more fitting of being called a gimmick, but is such an interesting idea, a way to have some concept of non-Held Items in multiplayer battles.

Yes this is how they cheat. Their moves always crit and land the secondary effects (look up battle maison freeze hax) while yours always miss even at 95 accuracy

pokemon in general suffers from OHKOs being the bottom line. Stall might be cancer, but so is sweeping being an unambiguous checkmate position if you don't have the right mon for the situation. It incentivises centralization. Really there should be some other mechanic added to battles universally that could shake it up. Positioning or stance or something, maybe? Stamina? Who knows.
