what strikes to me is how disconnected is this project from the rest of the franchise. If you're not a fan of the vocaloid genre you can go without ever noticing this.
They could have put some reference in the anime or games, tied in a shiny Meloetta distribution or something (as
>>58878967 notices out shiny Meloetta matches Miku's colors, and coincidentally there were two shiny Meloetta distributions, none of which is remotely related to the project), TCG promos, more merchandise (I couldnt find anything else than the figure in the OP). It just kinda floated into existence like some TPC approved fan project, and you can ignore it completely.
I don't really mind the existence of this, the music is not my thing, but some of the Miku designs were super cute/hot. Bizarrely, they were heavily underused even in the Voltage songs themselves.
Anyway, it's not something I love or hate, but it has me wondering what were they trying to achieve.
