Battle Facilities are designed to prey upon the innately unfair nature of a system where RNG will roll against you indefinitely, with the intent to keep testing for what'll make you unlucky enough to lose, no matter what configuration you use against the system.
Even the most improbable events will become probable eventually, there's literally no way around this.

So what? If I was a developer I'd tweak the chances of getting confused, paralyzed etc. to make the game more challenging.

Players get exponentially better when the challenges are harder. See all the Japs who play and master 'Nintendo Hard' easily. Everyone else lacks skill issue.

Nope. No such thing exists in the code. It's solely pattern recognition wen you start coming close to losing battles, because your brain doesn't register the easy sweeps from how mind-numbingly boring they are.
Can you prove where in Battle Facility coding that they teambuild against you? There's plenty of decomps you can refer to.

I vaguely recall a story where someone used a hacked in Wonder Guard Spiritomb and Sableye in the DP Battle Tower and it kept sending out Flareon, presumably because in DP Fire Fang is coded to bypass Wonder Guard regardless of type.
In hindsight, it was probably bullshit.
