Safe to say gen 10 will have some dumb gimmick archetype as well. What will it be? Quantum pokemon that are more than one mon at once? Aura forms? Fictional pokemon made form? Fusions? Temporary evolution/devolution? Sapient pokemon? What will it be?

Especially relevant considering GF internally considers megas new pokemon in all but name, being they have to go through the same design process and all, and I imagine that's relevant to g-maxes as well.

Future Paradox 'mons not referencing Dougal Dixon's work (which is apparently really popular in Japan btw) or speculative evolution in general not even once is such a missed opportunity. They could even be robots still, but did they (with the exception of Iron Valiant) have to just be direct copies of existing Pokémon? Imagine a Future Paradox version of Crobat based on the Night Stalker (OP's picrel).

I saw an interesting concept that kinds merged Mega Evolution and Z-Moves together. Basically some Pokemon can now learn a special move it normally can't. When you use that move in battle, that Pokemon turns into a new form themed on the move. Think Meloetta's Relic Song, how it turns her from Aria Forme into Pirouette Forme.
For new designs not tied to a battle gimmick, I want to see real crossbreeds. I guess the catch is that, due to how Pokemon breeding naturally works, there would have to be some unnatural lore explanation for it. Maybe the Pokemon Professor and/or evil team are doing Pokemon experiementation and are successfully creating new Pokemon by breeding two Pokemon that do not share an egg group.

I think that could work if the new mons are only conceptually related to the existing mons used in its genesis. Might could be something along the lines of, instead of literal breeding, using different mons as "samples" to "search" for new mons in some fancy fusion realm or something.
