Legends Galar is the dumbest setting imaginable. Dynamax was only recently controlled through the power spots, and the Darkest Day was supposed to be a one-time event.

No, the gyms were built on top of the power spots. The gyms were built where they are specifically because Pokemon could Dynamax there

If we assume that they didn't cancel the pokejapan game then kanto-sinnoh are already covered. Unova also had a pseudo revisit as recent as the SV DLC. That only leaves gens 7-8
