>>58893997eh, kind of? but it doesn't do anything unless you have the password and a mystery gift to receive, so it's not something that the average player would need to find anyway. by the time there was a mystery gift event in your area, you'd look up instructions on how to get it online, or it would have been distributed by gamestop or a magazine or something (I can't remember how they did it back then). so yeah, it's kind of hidden and not easy to stumble upon, but if you're just stumbling on it then chances are you can't do anything with it anyway, so it doesn't really need to be obvious.
