there's a metric shit-tonne of brightly coloured animals (something autistic people love) as well as cutesy critters that aren't animals (a boat-load of autistic people have hyperfixations on robots and inanimate objects), alongside being very rigid in their structure and gameplay loop, even if they change the overall way it's done. not to mention that it's been going on since the 90s, and most autistic people that are chronically online have at least one pokemon game they grew up with.
