>>58902993I have seen concepts like this before, similar to fusion. I think this could go well as a battle gimmick.
Gimmick would rely on two Pokemon, the "Armor Wearer" and the "Armor Donor"
Two new Key Items, one for the Wearer and one for the Donor, ensuring only one Armor Fusion per team per battle.
>ActivationWhen the Wearer is in battle and the Donor is NOT in battle, the player can activate PokeArmor.
Once activated, the Wearer dons armor based on the Donor.
Wearer and Donor must be holding their respective Key Items, which cannot be knocked off (Like Mega Stones)
>VisualsAny Pokemon can be the Wearer or the Donor.
In-game, the Wearer is surrounded by aura that matches the Donor's primary type.
Some combinations of Wearer and Donor can result in the Wearer sporting an all new form. Like pic rel.
>EffectsWhen PokeArmor is activated, the Wearer's and Donor's HP, Defense, and Special Defense stats are merged.
Any damage the Wearer receives is split between it and the Donor.
If the Wearer and Donor would be knocked out, the Wearer will survive with 1HP and PokeArmor deactivates.
While active, the Donor cannot be swapped in, even during a Double Battle.
>ExampleLucario is the Wearer, Corviknight is the Donor
Upon activating PokeArmor, Corviknight's stats are added to Lucario's
>HP: 70 + 98 = 168>DEF: 70 + 105 = 175>SpD: 70 + 85 = 155Corviknight can no longer be used in battle since it is being used as armor for Lucario.
If Lucario gets hit by a move that eats 100HP, both Lucario and Corviknight lose 50HP.
If Lucario gets hit by a move that would knock it out, Lucario is left with 1HP and its stats return to normal.
Corviknight is knocked out indirectly.
