>>58944976Pretty sure it's not Unova fans but instead the last dregs of the Discord cabal doing that, they used to be the number one critics of anything Gen 2 related on here. These days it's maybe Yawnfag, as always with these sorts of things, as anything related to the DS games makes him lose his fucking mind. Like if Unova fans were doing it it'd be extremely hypocritical as BW alone has a very similar type of endgame to GS and there are Pokemon whose evolution levels are designed to facilitate that, as opposed to GS where it was kind of an accident because Masuda forced them to get the games out instead of meticulously balancing them (not like that extra time helped Gen 1 though).
Regardless, HGSS and B2W2 are probably the best individual games in the series, and depending on the day they might swap places, but given GS is my nostalgia pick it's usually HGSS. Shout outs to Emerald and the GameCube titles for Gen 3 and USUM as well, they're not perfect but they've got the next best cost-benefit ratio.
