It is pretty remarkable how they took a dull, unpopular concept like cocoon pokemon and gave it a theme to keep each stage interesting.
- the little kid who learns from mommy and develops the sewing skill
- the sullen teen who cocoons and refuses to integrate with society, using their learned skill only for themselves
- the mature adult ready to join society and pass down their craft
It's a very japanese pokemon if you think about it.
