Hello, apologies for any bad English. I have been part of an external team involved on a new title that will be called Pokemon Turbochargers in English markets. It will be announced briefly during this week’s anniversary presentation, I decided to leak info about the game because my work has concluded and it was a terrible process for everyone involved.
The game is a middle priced title for Switch + Switch 2, there are 12 courses based off of various sights from the series. Diglett’s Tunnel, Silph Co, Fuchsia City, Mt. Silver, Slateport City, The Great Marsh, Nimbasa City, Relic Castle, Prism Tower, Akala Island Tour, The Wild Area, Area Zero.
It’s a racing game where Speed Deoxys has created a distortion where Pokemon Racing has overtaken battles, so the player sets out to become the champion. There are simple mini games between races which grant boosts or curses for the next race. Custom local or online races, and a story mode which involves beating a tournament on every course and then doing a 1v1 against Speed Deoxys.
You race by tapping to a rhythm unique to your Pokemon, avoiding traps and obstacles. By playing you unlock clothes for your trainer and alt costumes for the Pokemon. Your Pokemon has a chance of being shiny but there’s no way to guarantee it, and only one racer can choose a given Pokemon, so if you and your friend both want Pikachu you better pick it first.
Development has closed though they were clear that a successful launch may necessitate updates, and they had us make one update for if it’s a major success. This includes four more tracks (Hoenn Battle Frontier, Kitakami Tour, Isle of Armor Tour, Jubilife Village), four more racers (Regieleki, Iron Bundle, Blacephalon, Genesect), and more cosmetics.
When this gets sent to people who know what they did wrong, fuck you. Workers are not slaves, get fucked. Hope this post will be appreciated after Friday.
