it's literally impossible to do that. The data that pokemon contain nowadays is incompatible with the old data
same reason why pokemon from PLZA won't be transferable to SV or other games. Because of the new data they have

It's not impossible, Home set up a whole system for Pokemon to have separate data for each game for the sake of easier cross-game transfers. The question is whether they will bother, or whether they think sending newer Pokemon ruins the authentic experience of old games (easy max IVs and movesets etc)

There's tools that bridge the games by giving plausible values for the stats not introduced yet. I think PkHex has one, just like how the official games calculate size variation of old pokemon when you transfer to a new game.

Not going to lie that would be awesome, but my Ribbon autism means most of my Pokemon that start in Gen 3 need every possible ribbon on them from Gen 3 to Gen 7, then to Home. Only recently borrowed a friend’s switch and copies of Sword and LA so it obviously annoys me my Shiny Kanto starters from LG will miss a few.

Anyone expecting anything other than a vanilla rom dump is gonna be extremely disappointed. The fact that FRLG on eshop has a dozen different versions for all the languages already proves they where too lazy to modify the game whatsoever.
>no online trading
>no home transfers
>no event legendaries
>no bug fixes
>no point of the altering cave still
So yeah, don't get your hopes up about newly added features because it's not happening.

what would even be the point? You can get the same Pokemon but better, easier, and also shiny way quicker in any of the modern games, whats the point in spending MORE time in these old ones to do the same thing?

Shiny hunters are mental. They'd rather have the most "rare" version of a shiny. They'd rather soft reset for a week getting a shiny charmander instead of finding one in 5min on SV.

The league ribbon is the only ribbon in FRLG, however it's sort of exclusive in that the Champion ribbon is Gen 3 exclusive. If you want to get a game for old ribbons maybe try and hold out until they put Emerald on the eshop, IF they put Emerald on the eshop.

I imagine that was removed because it won't be immediate, and the update date for HOME will be revealed in the Presents. It's very unlikely (but not impossible) that they included a mention of Pokemon HOME compatibility by mistake.
