>Why is Kasumi traveling together with the protagonist, Satoshi? I’ve written about this before, but the answer can be found in one of Kasumi’s lines: “It just happens that Satoshi is wherever I want to go.”>This line is delivered in response to a provocative remark from the guest character Frula in The Explosive Birth of Lugia, who says something to the effect of, “You’re Satoshi’s girlfriend? You have such bad taste.” That remark is also a provocation directed at Kasumi’s very role in The Explosive Birth of Lugia. Kasumi’s reply is, so to speak, a tit-for-tat retort.>Some viewers feel that behind the line “It just happens that Satoshi is wherever I want to go” there is a romantic feeling toward Satoshi that even Kasumi herself hasn’t realized. However, that interpretation comes from a fake-out scene (a deliberate red herring) that I prepared in order to make Kasumi’s presence stand out more.
