>>58953438I dont get what you're getting at. the newest game I've played/beat was Lets go Pikachu which was horrible and one of the few games I've ever re-sold. Ultra Sun I liked a lot. It was "new" mechanic wise and helped guide you since instead of gym's it was the totem initiations or whatever but I think it was pretty well done.
I'm a genwunner though and like Gen 2. Beat Emerald that one of my younger siblings had, didnt like it as much. Still have a cart of Leaf Green which was fun to play but now with rom hacks or hex editors or just portable emulation with fast forwarding I just go back to Yellow version typically.
I did not like Pearl really at all, and I had Black version and beat it but really didn't like it much. I actually like some Mon's from gen 3 like Nincada and Duskull but the Team magma team aqua shit wasn't for me. and it was a down grade from Gold/Silver's real clock. I liked the global trading in the DS games but it didn't really work right if I remember. or it wasn't reliable.
never gave X/Y a chance or Scarlet Violet, which I heard run like shit. My younger zoomer brother said I wouldn't like the Switch games so I didnt bother and like I said, Let's Go really disappointed me despite me still liking POGO to this day (but taking out wild battles in a mainline RPG was stupid). Gemini says I might like Sword though and from POGO I got Sir Fetch'd which is awesome to see since he was so shitty in gen 1. but compared to emerald, pearl, black/white, Ultra Sun was a breath of fresh air to me.
