>>58957084Not needing to have additional hardware like a wireless adapter or a link cable for multiplayer while also having it on a readily available unified platform instead of dicking around with community emulators for multiplayer in my eyes is absolutely a QoL change if you still play the originals today and have to both find people to play with that have the gaming hardware and their own wireless adapter, even if it's a subjective point/passive addition by simply re-releasing. Loose price GBA Wireless Adapters are almost $30 each. I own 3 of my own and a few link cables of each type (GBA to GBA, GBA to GC) and these releases make it much easier to not have to worry about that shit
>just get the ROM online and emulateI could configure the port to allow network traffic and connect to a host's IP, even on a network I stand up if I meetup to play with people in a public place, but in all honesty just having the official hardware doing that part for me and participants is enough to warrant $20.

>>58957127All of the discussion of actual purchasing at least within my realm has been fans waiting to see if they have more to add for Pokemon day with the occasional few people that are getting it as a small group so that they can battle each other and complete dexes.
