And that's with Pressure so Spore is only getting 8 pp unless you want to give it pp ups which is an actual waste. Compare this to paralyzing it first turn with thunder wave and never needing to worry about it again.

With Ultra Ball Deoxys is a 1.234% catch rate paralyzed 1.598% catch rate asleep. You are much much better off throwing balls than you are continuously putting it too sleep.
Raticate with Super Fang and Thunder Wave is the best option in all regards. Even in LG when the Deoxys moveset is less of an issue it's still significantly quicker and easier to get it ready for the hunt, and you will most likely catch it sooner just throwing balls at a paralyzed one then you are having to keeping putting it back to sleep.
