i want one now cause of the new trailer

how easy is to get my pokemon from the 6th gen 3ds games like oras and xy to the new ones?

i know the new games aren't out yet but is it easy?
my 3ds is modded or has homebrew can i still transfer or do i need an unmodded one?
i have legit gamecarts though.

how does pokemon home work for modded 3ds?
