I really think it's going to be in the first half of 2027 probably around Feb or March. Keep in mind, they actually showed off gameplay AND the new starters already which to me indicates that they're not gonna wait until fall of next year to release it. When they teased ZA, they only showed a cryptic trailer and no gameplay.

What is Nintendo's big flagship holiday release for 2026? A new Xeno game? Fire Emblem doesn't seem like a holiday system seller.

I prefer that Winds & Waves is getting extra time in the oven, I just hope that the extra time manifests into the final release as a higher quality product than usual. I skipped out on the last two gens because they looked terrible.

My guess is that it will be a launch-window title for a Switch 2 "lite" version. The Switch 2 launch broke records in June '25 so a June '27 launch seems realistic.

Probably Mario. The new movie is coming out soon and it would be stupid for Nintendo not to try and capitalize on that considering how popular the first one was.

Def not Q4, ZA was announced and they didn't show anything cause it was so far away from release (20 months) so the fact they've already shown the starters and gameplay footage, it's closer to release than not, I honestly think it'll be around this time next year.

Recently it's only been a few months. The last major Mario game and holiday title for 2023, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, was revealed in June and released in October. Even the Switch 2 console had less than half a year between reveal and release.
