Red is in a region full of shitters that are nowhere near his level, so much so that he beat them with a little mouse just to show them he could. By getting so strong in such a place, you could say he's the most talented, but his team itself isn't that good because it doesn't need to be to handle where he is. If you plucked him straight from heartgold to fight other top trainers, he would lose.

They fought in Masters and the outcome was not shown (unlike Red vs Leon, where Leon was flatly shown losing)
Which generally would imply a draw/parity.
It was also stated by Red lost more than once on Pasio.

those arent characters in the games, they are Player avatars like all PCs
they are only their own characters in Masters and in the manga

and if you wanted to pick which Player avatar is the "strongest" (even though they are all You) - its obv the PLA one as he/she captures God (a small piece of God, but thats still >> any other pokemon)
