GTA6 isn't happening while drumpf's in office you dumb cunt. Rockstar even fucking said they wouldn't release it under the current regime (which is shorthand for "we ripped him 50 new arseholes in this game, but we're actually too scared of his power to launch it while he's in office as he can squish us like nits"). Best pray there actually IS an election in '28 and he's gone the year after if you want to play it. Otherwise, it's going to break Duke Nukem: Forever's record for "longest time a game's spent in development hell".

Yes, NOVEMBER 2026, which is when everyone THOUGHT Winds and Waves was coming out, because pokemon games always release at that time. Suddenly they're pushing it back to 2027, and didnt specify "late 2027" like they sometimes do, or "winter 2027' or anything like that, leaving the option open that the game will skip the November window and have a Q2 or Q3 2027 release.

The point I was trying to make is:
November 2027 -> Just needed more time gets a full extra year compared to the norm (SV had a trailer that show just as much as this one but ended with "releasing late 2022" (the trailer was on pokemon day 2022)
June 2027 -> The game skipped the standard release window likely for the same reason every other game is going to skip the November release window (to dodge GTA6), and they just waited until the next best time to release new games.

the game looks far further along than when we first saw Arceus which released the following January. It was originally planned to release this year as well so it just being a short delay to early next year is the most likely scenario.

We'll get a release date in a few months anyway when the second trailer drops that reveals the legendaries and boxart, always gives release date too so you can have pages with the final boxart on them where you can pre-order the game and shit.

i suspect they announced "2027" to give themselves wiggle room. early 2027 (january, like PLA), is barely later than the usual release slot of november, but if the reveal trailer was met with huge backlash, they could push to a late 2027 release, having not committed themselves to early in the year. if it was received well, they could stay on pace for releasing earlier in the year.
