Someone post one of the cool designs where Machamp keeps more Machoke features and Golem keeps more Graveler features. I've seen a couple; my favorite was from here, probably around 2018-2019.

Machoke, Graveler and Golem were all designed as separate pokemon first before they decided that evolution would be a big part of the game. Later they retroactively made Graveler evolve into Golem and made the other stages.
