I think so too but I gave up complaining about it after they dropped. Gen 8 starters looked like gen 5 fakemon and these guys barely look like Pokemon but they're cute.

I thought that a lot of the Pokemon in Gen 3 didn't look like Pokemon and by Gen 4, I realized that the artstyle was going to keep changing and I stopped worrying about that. I will say though that Browt is the only one that I think looks rather different that what is widely accepted as what we've come to think of what Pokemon look like.

These are just Neopets that borrow elements from existing Pokemon. Even Palworld does better at borrowing elements and make the mons look great. These 3 are just sad. Only their final stages will save them.
