I'd guess I moved on to the NGC in 2005 or 2006, but now thinking about it, it's funny how I experienced all generations within a short amount of years, and yet, my child brain registered each of them in my memory as being long periods of time.
The N64's and the controller's plastic have darkened with time, so the Pikachu is now Shiny.
