they already confirmed that, because the gamecube games are released in the NSO classics app (save states, rewind etc) they will never support transfer from or to home

It's fucked up how they probably made the choice of having DX and Colosseum on NSO before they even decided to release FRLG. There's a different world where because of the success of FRLG they release the GC games properly with Home support

Amazing that, a game that failed to do what Nintendo had wanted from it, despite being part of one its most profitable IP's at that stage (not yet biggest in the world by gross) gets treated like the toxic waste it was.

Would have made so much more sense to just properly set up a digital Gen 3 ecosystem with RSE, FRLG and the gamecube RPGs that includes online trades, gba->gc game transfers and unlocked event and e-reader content and just sell it all separately instead of putting the gc games behind a subscription in a half-baked state.

NSO is intended to be a dabbler's service, you play a few minutes of each game for nostalgia's sake and then give up and move on to the next ROM or a modern game. They don't care if the games aren't feature complete or if savestates and rewind completely break them because most people will have less than an hour in any given title.
