They're still not going to officially support the format. Your only option to play eachother is through private matches, so you might as well just keep playing on Showdown.

If im new to doubles and want to play without spending money, I can only bring in 30 from home day 1 what are are the teams/pkm that are Core to doubles. I see alot of prankster supportmons setting tailwind, whisp, ect. Should I just make a straightforward weather team and see how far it takes me. Since we know that Mega Evo will be the first ruleset, what mega mons should I grab from ZA, Venusaur, Kangaskhan?

Showdown must be murdered so I can talk about the games without armchair game designers crying X Pokemon is OP because its weaknesses don't matter in 6v6 clown fiesta (and vice versa for "weak" Pokemon)

I guess it has to have all of those clauses for singles to make it more fair. I would hate if happened in doubles though, I love using Spore with Amoonguss and catching people slacking.

You can permanently unlock any available mon

They will be in the ingame shop too. They've confirmed that held items won't be hard locked behind battle passes.

It's not as hard as you think. You start with enough speed to outspeed a certain benchmark, then give yourself enough evs to hit a jump point in your positive nature, then put the rest into bulk. Sometimes instead of hitting a jump point you just ev to live a certain hit and then put the rest into attack and hp.

Like there is only a few select mons you can use or transfer over. They are adding more later but I doubt there will be a reason to add all the unevolved shitmons.

So many oddballs and not normally popular Pokémon will never get added. A bunch of viable NFEs like Pory2 or Chansey might not be in either potentially. Showdown at least has everything, this game is a pure marketabilityXviability dexcut.
