>>59013733As always (with SwSh and SV at least), we'll get a second trailer in June which reveals the box legendaries, release date, and then pre-orders open up.
The marketing cycle will be extended rather than delayed (nowadays they usually dont reveal most of the new pokemon, so perhaps they'll just reveal a larger chunk).
Z-A had radio silence for a year because it was genuinely not in a state that could be shown yet, and also there wasn't enough to actually market since the only exciting headline things they had were a handful of new megas. That initial trailer was a teaser that provided no information on the game other than the fact it existed (essentially a "we are working on a game please look forward to us actually announcing it"), while Winds and Waves' reveal trailer was a full on trailer in the same style as the SwSh or SV reveal trailers.
SV also ended its initial reveal trailer with "releasing late 2022", while the WW trailer just said "releasing 2027", so I don't think they're doing a standard November release this time, for whatever reasons they may have (needing more dev time, dodging GTA, strategically placing it to not interfere with unannounced Nintendo Exclusives, etc.)
