What I find incredible is just how much worse this series' designs get over time. I thought I hated Gen 7, and I still do, but I found that at least half of the designs are alright. I never disliked the Ultra Beasts anyway (neat idea). Even the regional forms back then were mostly alright. Even with some of the designs I do dislike, I feel like the designer probably tried to make something appealing.
Then immediately Gen 8 just nosedives into absolute unfunny reddit garbage and Gen 9 follows up on that.
I hope AT LEAST, AT THE BARE MINIMUM, Gen 10 can be like Gen 7, but I'm not hopeful.
