she was misrepresented and you just know the writers wrote her out since they kept Misty in the series and Casey was basically a prototype Kris or based on that one trainer class in Johto. Another interesting fact, Ash's name was originally going to be Casey in the early pitch, but changed. Also she should have cameoed in the Master's Eight Tournament alongside Ethan and Kris.
