Game is butt ugly, but its easily better than Sword and Shield. Although I didnt play it at release with all of the performance issues, I've only played the Switch 2 version.

The performance upgrade made it MUCH better. And I say that as an SV glazer. The performance on Switch 1 is seriously abysmal, it's embarrassing they shipped it like that.

At least Scarlet and Violet commit to the open world thing, as mediocre as it is. Thats why I think its better. Sword and Shield tried to be linear AND open world and gave us a limp dick version of both.

No, it was fun. I loved wandering around looking for Pokémon. I loved going into a lvl 50 area when my team was lvl 25. I loved cheesing the titan fights and defeating a lvl 57 Titan Tatsugiri with a lvl 40 Naclstac and Salt Cure. It was the most fun I had with Pokémon in like a decade.
