>>59027159When you look into what actually got scrapped in Gen I, lots of what were being made for Gen II were just outright brand new designs going forward. The closest thing to a carry over from what was in Gen I was the Raitora line, Jagg becoming the Grotesque-line then splitting to become Sharpedo and Huntail, Mikon, which got cut 3 times, but was the only baby to have existed since Gen I due to them initially wanting Raichu to evolve at first
But even something like Ho-Oh was planned after the games released and was always meant to be the "ultimate Pokemon" as in final, than strongest. One of the leaked Pokemon Blue versions we got cut a lot of the mystery of the scrapped Gen I Pokemon due to having the back sprites so we can readily access stuff like Crocky, Dear, Ballonda and Boo (the original member of Magmar and Electabuzz's trio)
