Probably middling. We've gone the longest gap between generations without getting another Eeveelution so they must not be too keen on making more but at the same time, Gen X of Pokemon feels like an appropriate time to give us another one.

Teraleak showed they scrapped a flying Eevee because it was too similar to a fakemon. I'm guessing they're scared of releasing any new Eeveelutions so people don't accuse them of ripping people off

We are never getting a dragon eevee because dragon is considered the ultimate type and it would be unfair for the other eeveelutions

And yet we have Sylveon, a Fairy type, a type that was supposed to balance overpowered types like Dragon, Fighting, or Dark but then it itself ended up becoming the most overpowered type in the game.

If Sylveon can exist then so can a Dragon type Eeveelution. Plus it wouldn't be "unfair to the other Eeveelutions" because Glaceon counters it and even Vaporeon who is not Ice type learns a bunch of Ice type moves. And I know some of the other Eeveelutions get Fairy moves too.

based. people forget that the only reason dragon type is so overpowered is because it's made up of almost exclusively legendary and pseudo-legendary pokemon. on a pokemon with mediocre stats it's just a slightly better normal type

We aren't getting another eevee of a known type again because they don't want to be accused of copying one of the dozens of fakemon that appear when you search "[type] eeveelution" into Google. The only new one we've got since 2006 was Sylveon and that was for a newly introduced type.
