Ash's greatest feat is becoming world champion in under a year (this is after becoming two regional champions and challenging seven other League and probably 50+ Gym Leaders and beating the Gen III Battle Frontier) and helping save the world several times over.

The Ashnime operates on a floating timeline, regardless of how many times you've seen the sun set or any stated durations of time passed it will always be retconned to say that everything happened in under a year's time.
Even more convenient for them is that the Pichu Bros short where Ash was celebrating his birthday/one year anniversary with Pikachu was basically rendered noncanon because the JP narrator for that short got busted for drugs, so they disowned the short.
