Do you have a living dex? How in depth do you go? Just make sure you get every mon? Gender variants? Forms? Origin marks from their debuts?

Personally, my main goal is the earliest available origin mark possible for every main example of Pokemon, form, and gender variant, eg. a Kleavor that originated from Gen 1. My own OT as much as possible, and shinies are preferred with their origin mark, but I'll take whatever I get, then replace when I do a hunt in whatever Gen they're in.

I have a gen6 living dex, a living alola dex, and kind of called it quits then.
I only did mons and (permanent) formes. To me it makes little sense to do more. Granted, I didn't get every single vivillon, but it's alright.

I can’t be damned to make a living dex but I do get a kick out of collecting old event distro mons. I have an old Celebi from the 10th anniversary event where they went to local malls all over the US and gifted very rare pokemon at the time (gen 3) into your game. Not my image but it’s what I have. Love the OT.

All Pokemon are in Beast Balls whenever possible and are the gender I think they look most like
Only major things I'm missing are almost all the Vivillon forms in Beast Ball and the Gen VIII Cap Pikachu
I also still have to wait for HOME connectivity with Z-A to bring over some other Pokemon and forms

i do this too, albeit mine are mostly in regular poke balls (ultra beasts go in beast balls, legendaries in luxury balls, and paradoxes in timer balls). and i do the gender thing

i dont play go at all, but getting the vivis in sv with the go stuff was fun, you could get them in beast balls that way

I want to do that, but I have no idea how I'm going to get all the postcards for them so I haven't bothered to do that yet
Also, I'd need the Scatterbug and Spewpa for each form as well, as they count as separate forms internally

theres a fairly active subreddit where you can add people to get the postcards from, vivilloncollectors. also a site called leekduck is good for the jp patterns

the spewpa and scatterbug arent possible on the switch afaik though. i guess if you have a 3ds just do 18 xy saves

You can catch those forms in SV via the postcards, but it doesn't work for any Scatterbug hatched via breeding

you dont need one, they have megathreads for each pattern and people living in those regions just post their friend codes. some of them might not add you back if youre not replying with your ign as a heads up, but im sure you could get them all eventually

Boxable forms
Gender differences
Gigantamax and dynamax as separate forms
Shiny versions of everything
Star and square shiny versions where confirmable in SwSh
Alphas in regular and shiny (and star/square shiny)
GO stamp mons (non-shiny)
Planning to try and 100% Home, i.e all moves, badges and language entries, but nowhere near enough space so those will stay in game saves

Basically I just do what ever serebii has for boxable mons. I've got everything so far, so it's just a matter of Gen 10 dropping at this point. Also give me ZA compatibility and a dex reward already. I wanna get Eternal Floette in it's slot.

I have all of the species in Home except for Pecharunt, because I refuse to buy the S/V DLC and I can't trade for it on the GTS like the other DLC-exclusive Pokemon since it technically counts as a mythical. One day I'll resubscribe to NSO and trade for one. Eventually.

I don't really care about all the different forms, gender differences, and so on. Just having 1 of each species is enough for me.

You just need to send a postcard from SV to Go and you will receive a chest or something, you use it like an incense and get (the opportunity) to catch up to 30! Gimmighouls
