It's not about being bipeds, its not about being a literal elemental animal, is about not being literally a man shaped man.
Except the dog, there's no way to make a bipedal big fluffy dog NOT look like a gay furry so hopefully that one at least stays grounded.
Like, I fully expect Gecqua to become a more humanoid female-coded pokemon, but there's a difference between turning into an anthro lizard like Salazzle, and turning into a lizard themed man like Intelleon. Obviously in an ideal world Gecqua will turn into something that doesn't resemble either in order to feel much more unique. Since in the end one or two anthro starters was never the issue, its that its all of them and just utterly played out by now.
Browt is a wildcard as others have stated. Obviously fanart leans either "fat sumo man" or "proud rooster". Considering modern starters especially tend to look massively different from their base forms, I'm not sure I buy the fat sumo interpretation but I also don't think we'll see the literal rooster either, though out of all our bird starters every single one of them ends up standing very upright, so something different from that might give it a more unique silhouette that clears up any accusations that bird starters are getting played out.
